SCRIPTURE FOR LABOR
3 Bible Verses to Hold Onto Before Labor
1. When You Need Courage
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” — Psalm 56:3
Labor can carry a lot of unknowns. You may feel peaceful one moment and nervous the next. This verse is a simple reminder that feeling afraid does not mean you lack faith. When fear comes, you can bring it directly to God and choose to trust Him in the middle of it.
Pray:
Lord, when I feel afraid about labor, help me place my fear in Your hands. Remind me that You will be with me through every moment ahead.
2. When You Need Strength
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” — Philippians 4:13
You do not have to walk into labor relying only on your own strength. When you feel tired, uncertain, or overwhelmed by what lies ahead, ask God for the strength you need for the moment in front of you.
Pray:
Father, give me strength for each moment of labor. When I feel tired or overwhelmed, help me remember that I can lean on You.
3. When You Need Peace
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” — Isaiah 26:3
As labor approaches, your mind may want to run ahead into every possible scenario. Let this verse bring you back to God. You do not need to know exactly how your birth will unfold to walk into it with peace.
Pray:
Lord, quiet my mind and help me keep my thoughts anchored in You. Give me peace about what I cannot predict and help me trust You with the birth ahead.
