A Prayer to Ease Your Pregnancy Anxiety

Pregnancy can hold so much joy and so many unknowns at the same time. If worry is filling your mind today, take a quiet moment to bring it to God.

A PRAYER FOR PREGNANCY ANXIETY

Lord, Quiet My Anxious Heart

Father,

Pregnancy has given me so much to be grateful for, but some days it also gives me so much to worry about. There are so many things I cannot see, predict, or control, and sometimes the unknowns feel louder than the joy.

You know every fear running through my mind—the ones I say out loud and the ones I keep quietly to myself. I bring them all to You now.

When my thoughts begin racing toward everything that could go wrong, help me come back to what is true. You are here. You are with me. I do not have to carry tomorrow before it arrives.

Please watch over my baby. As this little life grows, surround my baby with Your care and protection. When I wish I could see what is happening or know that everything will be okay, help me trust You with what I cannot see.

Give me peace in the waiting between appointments, reassurance when fear creeps in, and calm when I find myself searching for certainty I cannot have.

Help me receive the good moments too. Let me enjoy this pregnancy without allowing fear to steal every beautiful part of it. Remind me that I can feel uncertain and still trust You. I can have questions and still have faith.

When anxiety returns, as it sometimes will, help me bring it back to You instead of believing I have to solve every fear on my own.

Today, I place my baby, my pregnancy, and all the unknowns ahead in Your hands.

Give me peace for today, grace for the moments that feel hard, and trust for whatever comes next.

Amen.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7
